Blindside To Begin Work On New Album In September
Blindside will begin work on their new album in September with producer Howard Benson (Seether, Three Days Grace). An early 2010 release is expected.
Janus Sign Record Deal With Realid / ILG
Janus will release their debut, ‘Red Right Return‘, on September 22nd through Realid Records / ILG. Audio from the disc can be streamed on MySpace.

Slipknot Reissue Track Listing Announced
Track listing for the reissue of Slipknot’s 1999 self-titled debut has been confirmed. The two disc CD/DVD set is due out on September 9th and features the original disc plus demos, remixes and b-sides. The DVD includes a documentary dubbed ‘the (sic): Your Nightmares, Our Dreams‘, music videos and other video footage.

Daughtry Debuts At No. 1; Sick Puppies No. 41
Daughtry’s ‘Leave This Town‘ is at the top of this weeks Billboard Top 200 Chart. The album sold more than 269,000 copies and is the bands first No. 1 debut. Rob Thomas’ sophomore solo album ‘Cradlesong‘ comes in at No. 25 moving 24,000 copies. Nickelback moved 24,000 copies of ‘Darkhorse‘ and holds the No. 26 slot.
Green Day sits at No. 28 with ‘21st Century Breakdown‘, Shiendown’s ‘The Sound of Madness‘ moved 17,000 copies holds the No. 35 slot.
The sophomore effort from Sick Puppies, ‘Tri-Polar‘, debuts at No. 41 with 15,000 copies scanned and DevilDriver’s ‘Pray for Villains‘ makes its debut at No. 46 selling 12,000 copies.
Killswitch Engage rounds out the Top 50 at the No. 46 moving 12,000 copies of their latest self-titled album.
